Just a little something I didn't know that they told me over the phone (Martin that is) Martin pre-drills their bridges for adding USP's. Also don't let anyone charge you for drilling out your bridge if you go USP. Another cool thing about the M1 active is that you have the capabilities of adding another pickup to the guitar and solder it to the M1's preamp and have a stereo setup if you wanted. I went out on a limb and I've not second guessed my decision. All I knew was USP's, Until I did some reading. I'm just telling you what I required out of a pickup: non feedback, Cut thru in a 6 piece electric band, natural sounding, volume control at my fingertips, and no massive moddng to my guitar, and not a fortune. I'm not trying to do that for you like so many on some forums do. Ultimately you have to make the decision on what's right for you and your needs. One of the guys in my band has the Ellipse Matrix Blend in his Masterbuilt, another has the same guitar as mine in cutaway with the Fishman Prefix Premium or something (from the factory) and they're both just blownaway when I plug in. It clamps down on each side of the soundhole with a screw/plate type deal. Not one bad review have I read on the M! active. Trust me.I'm very anal and did my research. It also has adjustable pole pieces just like an electric humbucker. I put mine in a brand new 000-16GT and I love it. I don't think I'm supposed to post that type of info on the forum, and I love this place to much to jepordize my status. The M1 active retails for $169 on ebay and music stores, but if you'd like to email me I can tell where you can get it for less.

On the first link i posted there are some movies as well as some sound clips.

You can take it out in just a couple of minutes if you needed to.
